Spaghetti Tongs

Using a spaghetti tong is a fun way to increase fine motor skills while playing.

First, let your child play with just the tong so she can figure out how they work. Once she's conquered this, ask her what toys she can pick up with the tongs. Once she's able to pick up toys, suggest she try and fill up a pan with toys by using the tongs.

This might be a new skill for your preschooler. As with learning any new skill, encourage all attempts. Each step in learning is a success for young children.
