Hand Print Murals

Hand print paintings make lovely wall hangings or gifts.

Items needed:
1.Painting canvas of any size (available at craft stores)
2.finger paints (we used Melissa and Doug from Learn All About It Toys)
3.smock
4.old cookie sheet covered in foil
5.sink for clean up
6.Preschooler

Place one color paint on a section of the cookie sheet.
Child rubs his hand in paint until the palm is covered.
Parent helps child place hand on canvas in one spot then carefully lifts it.
Do a few more hand prints with the same color before cleaning hand and switching colors.

Once hand printing is one, let your child finger paint an a separate piece of paper.

Caution: Child shouldn't move his hand while it's on the canvas.
