Children like taking part in every day household activities and sorting socks is one that is fun and easy. Younger preschool children can sort by color and older preschoolers can sort by color, size and style.
Don't have socks to sort? Try bath towels, kitchen towels and washcloths. Children also have fun trying to fold towels.
my boys always enjoyed folding laundry. Less so now, but once they've started, they achieve a sort of pride in their work. And they love it once its left the dryer.
