Egg salad is easy for a preschooler to make.
1. Some children enjoy taking the peel off eggs. It will take some time, but it's a great fine motor activity.
2. After the egg is peeled, provide a dull knife that's safe for a child. He might already have his own kid's knife to use.
3. Put the egg on a cutting board. Let your child cut the egg. You might need to cut it in half first, just so the egg doesn't roll around.
4. Put everything your child has cut into a bowl.
5. Next, have your child scoop a heaping spoonful of mayonnaise into the bowl.
6. Now your child can mash it all together with a potato masher, fork or spoon.
7. Finally, eat with toast, crackers or as a sandwich.
Cooking is easy and fun with a preschooler.
