Move aside the coffee table and clear some toys off the floor. Get ready for an indoor obstacle course.
Children can do a variety of movements for obstacle courses: jump, crawl, roll, walk tiptoe, move sideways, walk like a crab, twirl somersault. Find what works for both your child and the space available.
Setting it up is easy. Put down a block or doll to jump over. Next, put out a towel or yoga mat to roll on. After that, set up a chair out for crawling under. Finally, specify a spot for a silly wiggle and making funny faces.
Once your child has finished the circuit, start over again.
Other activities to add.
1. playing a quick note on the piano.
2. Drawing squiggles on the easel.
3. Kissing Mommy
